Who We Are

Rampart Detection Systems was founded in 2009 with the intent to develop innovative electrodynamic sensing solutions.

Since inception, Rampart has pioneered several unique electric field and magnetic field sensors, along with their signal processing and analysis platforms.

Our sensors and systems have been incorporated into applications including public safety, life sciences, power line monitoring, non-destructive testing, and mining.

What We Do

Conveyor Belt Monitoring

Since conveyor belts are the lifeline of mining operations, Rampart has developed systems for monitoring steel cord conveyor belting, for detecting conveyor belt splice elongation, for monitoring conveyor belt cover wear and for conveyor belt rip detection.

Rip Prevention

Because the ingress of tramp metal into the bulk transport stream can lead to serious conveyor belt damage, Rampart has developed systems for the detection of metal in shovel dippers, in haul truck bodies and in crusher hoppers.

Mining Process

As the productivity of a digging shovel is greatly affected by the condition of dipper G.E.Ts., Rampart has developed a system for monitoring the wear and loss of dipper teeth. 

Ancillary

Because steel cord conveyor belting relies on the strength of its splices, Rampart has developed a system and technique that provides for a greatly decreased safety factor and semi-automated splicing of steel cord conveyor belts.
